Kynar® Coating Overview

Kynar® is a coating made of PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) and is unaffected by most chemicals. It is low in weight and thermal conductivity. And it has superior wear and abrasion resistance, as well as high dielectric strength.

Superior resistance to weathering, including nuclear radiation and UV rays
Protective against combustion
Resistant to abrasions

This coating is best used for its chemical resistance. It can stand up to temperatures as high as 500°F and is usually 2-3 mils thick.
